Sinful Flavors is a new entrant into the hemp marketplace but the primary focus is not on extracts but base ingredients. The intent of the brand is to provide a simple, easy to use base for farmers and processors to utilize their existing stocks of extracts to create their own brands in order to capture some of the lost revenues due to the massive price decline that has occurred in the last 24 months.
Iron Light was brought in to create a strategy for products and marketing, develop the products and build out the brand.
To start Iron Light, crafted a strategic story focusing on the intent of the brand and how a product strategy can be built within the story. Once complete, product research was started to figure out the most popular flavors for hemp extract tincture products. 25 different flavors were selected and the formulation work began.
Formulation is still on going in order to achieve the perfect blend of flavor that cuts through the oil base, balances out bitter notes but is not to overpowering.
In addition to product development, the brand was built with a focus on an online e-commerce distribution platform and an active sales strategy focused on content generation and samples. The brand is in the process of a full launch and scheduled to roll out in July 2020.
